Can someone explain why the pictures on my sd card only show up on my camera but won't show up on my computer? And is there any way to fix this problem?
If you are inserting the memory card into the computer, and the computer is reading the card OK (like it can see a folder in the memory card), then maybe you need to reboot the computer.
If the memory card is not being detected at all, then the card slot is possibly bad, or card slot is incompatible with memory card. (SDHC card which are more recent, may be unreadable in SD-only slots). You can try a USB 2.0 card reader if your computer's card slot is only USB 1.0 .
The operating system can be an issue also.
If the card is being detected, but the software is not downloading pictures automatically, if you have Windows XP you can go to Start/AllPrograms/Accessories/Scanner and Camera Wizard to download manually. If you have Windows Vista, then visit the Microsoft site and look for hotfixes.
