Where can I purchase a recovery disc for an Aspire M52253 notebook PC?
Hello,
My grandaughter forgot her password and cannot log in. She also cannot find the recovery disc. The brand name in Acer, machine type is Aspire M52253. Notebook PC. Is there any other way to log on when you forget your password?
Try to start up in safe mode, probably by tapping F8 as the pc is starting up.
Log in as administrator - go to control panel - remove password.
I only found this out yesterday, and it does work.
Previously, I had made a boot disc, which removes the password, but this was much more trouble, and hard work if you don`t know how to make a boot disc.
EDIT.
If you have a problem with logging in, in safe mode, try switching the pc off using the power button, when you switch back on, you normally get the option.
Just use the arrow keys to select the option, then press enter.
